Week 15 FYP2

Objective  Preparing the chapter 4: result and discussion for fyp2 thesis  Methodology  Result and discussion need to be implemented are:- Introduction  Hardware result  Power Consumption Display mode Application Mobile IOT using blynk  smart metering connect and disconnect  Software result  chapter summary  Conclusion  Based on the result and discussion are successful and justify for development of smart energy meter though a picture has being implemented as proof for the result. During experiment, these are a few of failed moment experiment such as burned electronic component like a sensor current and relay. The situation happens because of electronic component (DC) are very sensitive to high voltage (AC) which smart energy meter facing with 240 voltage supply deal with real power of home appliance. Safety, precaution and testing are the keys for success to do in this experiment.

Week 16 FYP2

Objective  Preparing the chapter 5: conclusion and recommendation for fyp2 thesis  Methodology  conclusion and recommendation need to be implemented are:- Introduction  Conclusion during the experiment Recommendation for future product

week 8 FYP2

Objective 1. Formula that need be upload coding acs712 and  Discussion  1.  Voltage is measured by the help of a voltage divider circuit. As the ARDUINO analog pin input voltage is restricted to 5V  2. Formula need to be implemented which Power and Energy. Power Power is product of voltage (volt) and current (Amp) P=VxI Unit of power is Watt or KW Energy is product of power (watt) and time (Hour) E= Pxt Unit of Energy is Watt Hour or Kilowatt Hour (kWh From the above formula it is clear that to measure Energy we need three parameters -  Voltage -Current  -Time

week 7 FYP2

Objective 1. Testing coding relay interface to arduino working princple Methodology 1.  There many types of relay modules available like 1 relay, 2 relay, 5 relay and 8 relay but smart metering are using the 2 relay Arduino module 2. The first one has 4 pins, a Ground and a VCC pin for powering the module and 2 input pins In1 and In2. The second set of pins has 3 pins with a jumper between the JDVcc and the Vcc pin. 3. T he input pins of the module work inversely. As we can see the relay will be activated when the input pin will be LOW because in that way the current will be able to flow from the VCC to the input pin which is low or ground, and the LED will light up and active the relay. When the input pin will be HIGH there will be no current flow, so the LED will not light up and the relay will not be activated Result the result shows, LED is indicator when coding has been upload and active. When LED became red means active HIGH there will be no current flow,  acti...

Objective 1. to test each component 2. testing function and connection Methodology 1. test the function of each component which is relay, sensor current, LCD and ESP8266. The arduino UNO is connection with male female wire. A blink coding has been upload to test if the arduino is working Result 1. The arduino uno can be uploaded with the coding from arduino ide software and the testing result is as expexted Conclusion All the component have been tested and the result from the test is as expected. The component are working perfectly

Week 3 FYP2

Week 3 Title:  Purchase the component  Objective 1. To survey a suitable and cheap price electronic store around Kuala Lumpur 2. buy all component needed to build development smart metering Methodology 1. Compare the price and store rating of the store that found 2. Go to the store and purchase the component needed Result  The component of electronic and electrical wiring component have been bought at Jalan Pasar Conclusion The place are provide all the component.

Week 2 FY2

Week 2 Title: Design prototype wiring electrical house The basic electrical wiring  house has been implanted to interface the smart metering for prototype compact with a real load of home appliances. Based on this situation, the smart metering can monitor and control in real load which 240 voltage. The electrical wiring that been design is single way switch control a lamp, 2 plug series connection with RCCB and MCB as power protection.

Week 1 FYP2

On week 15, I research about how smart energy meter work from the input into output. To identify the progress, the flowchart and  block diagram has been made to know how the project flow and at same time i just doing a chapter 3 methodology including a Introduction, Flowchart, Block Diagram and Component. The above block diagram shows all the operation of proposed project shows the circuit that going to be use. The input of the development is single phase, it is because the supply not being using such a large load. Thus, form that, power electrical will convert the Alternative Current (AC) into Direct Current (DC) to the home appliances. In addition to that, the condition of the relay needs to be normally close for current to flow the utilities and relay is in the condition of normally open when Arduino gave the signal to disconnect the supply. While the main function of Arduino is to give signal and interface to communication module, relay and sensor

Week 14 FYP1

In this week, I still  doing research about the project and searching based  on  journal, youtube and thesis. At the same time, I  doing a task Chapter 2 report. with consist of literature review that i have been used for my project. Week 13, I am study about componet. Distribution board A distribution board (DB) is electrical supply is distributed from within the house. The main supply cable comes into the board and   distributed to the breakers and from there to all the circuits to monitoring , power protection and cable management Relay A Relay is a switch for electrically operated by an electromagnet. The electromagnet is activated with a low voltage, for example 5 volts from a microcontroller and it pulls a contact to make or break a high voltage circuit. The relay is disconnect and reconnect the power supply when microcontroller give a signal and can operate 5V from microcontroller to the VCC pin for active a relay. The relay capability is 10-250 and 125 V AC and 10A-30 and 28 V DC powerful enough to reconnect and disconnect supply which is 240V. Wi-fi Module The wifi module that be choose is ESP 8266 because it can easily intergrated TCP/IP protocol stack can signal ...

In this week, my research focusing on how to develop the program for my system. My reaseach about arduino language is   c/c++, so that i can find a  read on c++ and use most of what i learn that is language core in unikl bmi previous. After that, the information about arduino language IDE  written in java, and is based on the Processing project, the codemust write in the editor is, as previously mentioned; c++ .
